First Myriad RF interface board launched

Azio has launched the first interface board for Myriad RF, a non profit, open source rf hardware project aimed at widening the community of developers and aiding rf innovation.

The DE0-Nano interface board connects to the Myriad-RF1, allowing users to easily connect to Altera Cyclone IV fpgas. It also provides a usb connector to link Myriad directly to a pc or Raspberry Pi. The Myriad RF project was launched in March by Lime Microsystems "It was apparent that we needed to encourage innovation in the rf domain but it's difficult, given amount of support needed," said the company's ceo Ebrahim Busheri. "By launching Myriad-RF, we can build a community that can support its members and there is already a lot of activity, even though we haven't publicised it."
