electronica 2012: ADI adds to solutions portfolio

Analog Devices has announced three new major product additions at electronica 2012.
The first is a new range of ultra small dc/dc converters, which utilises the company's proprietary isoPower technology to deliver 150mW of output power.
Claimed to be the smallest converters in the industry, the ADuM521x and ADuM621x also integrate two channels of ADI's iCoupler data isolation technology to reduce board space by up to 75% compared to optocoupler based alternatives.
The second offering is a new fpga mezzanine card, the 14bit, 250MS/s a/d converter FMC176, which incorporates JESD204B SerDes technology to allow digital and analogue designers to simplify high speed data converter to fpga connectivity.
Finally, the company has introduced a new data acquisition ic which it says uses one third the board space of competing discrete devices to help engineers simplify the design and reduce the size of advanced industrial data acquisition systems.
The 16bit, 1Ms/s ADAS3022 module is targeted at power line monitors, process and motor control, patient monitoring, and other industrial and instrumentation systems that operate within the ±10 V industrial range.
