Deploying user interfaces on embedded in no time – The Qt Company webinar

1 min read

On June 26, 2019 Emmanuel Penzes, Pre-Sales Engineer, at The Qt Company will be discussing how to create user interfaces for embedded systems quickly and easily across all platforms in an expert webinar hosted by New Electronics.

Creating high performance devices with user experiences that exceed customers’ expectations while at the same time saving cost and meeting your project deadline can be daunting. It doesn’t have to be. Using the Qt Framework as a basis, Emmanuel will introduce tools that help you deploy your application on any embedded hardware, from low-end microcontrollers to high-end microprocessors. By end of the session, attendees will understand the basics of QML, descriptive language to design UI. They will also be able to setup a Raspberry PI in order to deploy their project on it.

The session will cover the following:

1. Introduction to the Qt framework

2. How to develop your first UI in minutes with QML

3. Discovering Layout and Anchoring to fit your UI on multiple screen sizes

4. How to deploy your Qt UI to your embedded device with Yocto Images

5. Let’s do down to MCU and 2MB memory

The webinar will also outline the advantage of getting QML and C++ in your application, offering a well-designed Model-View Application. A Q&A session will follow. The webinar is aimed at all levels.
