Compact vision system features quad core Atom

National Instruments has launched a compact vision system for use in high speed applications. The CVS-1459RT features a quad-core Intel Atom processor and two dedicated USB 3.0 ports.

The NI CVS-1459RT can be programmed using LabVIEW or Vision Builder for Automated Inspection. According to the company, there is also the option of using LabVIEW FPGA to synchronise vision inspection results with other parts of industrial systems. The CVS-1459RT, based on the LabVIEW reconfigurable I/O (RIO) architecture, can be used in temperatures of up to 55°C and is also available in a board level version for OEM applications.
