Compact base station analyser provides coverage up to 6GHz

Anritsu has unveiled a handheld base station analyser which it claims is the most compact device to provide frequency coverage up to 6GHz.

The Cell Master MT8213E incorporates 10MHz demodulation bandwidth in a compact design, the MT8213E is suitable for cell site technicians who need to test and verify the performance of installed 2G/3G/4G networks. It integrates a 6GHz two-port cable and antenna analyzer and 6GHz spectrum analyser, as well as a power meter, interference analyser, channel scanner, and T1, E1, and T1/T3 backhaul analysers. When in spectrum analyser mode, users can measure occupied bandwidth, channel power, ACPR, and carrier-to-interference ratio. It can also provide spectrograms, signal strength, RSSI, and signal ID. The analyser has dynamic range of >95dB in 10Hz RBW, DANL of -152dBm in 10Hz RBW and phase noise of -100dBc/Hz max @ 10kHz offset at 1GHz.
