Blu Wireless joins 60GHz working group

Looking to help in the development of mmWave communications applications, Blu Wireless Technology has joined the Telecom Infrastructure Project’s (TIP) recently established mmWave working group. This group has been tasked with developing networking solutions that use the 60GHz frequency band and addressing wireless backhaul challenges.

“The opportunity to participate in the TIP working group and support its members … underscores our commitment to bringing the benefits of mmWave technology to a wider audience,” said Henry Nurser, pictured, Blu Wireless’ CEO. “Being amongst this forward-thinking, highly esteemed collection of companies gives us access to shared ideas and the opportunity to play an integral part in the future of this rapidly emerging global technology ecosystem.”

TIP, an engineering focused initiative co-chaired by Facebook and Deutsche Telekom, is looking to transform traditional telecom ecosystems by deploying new technologies and agile architectures.
