Arrow Electronics is working with Microsoft for Startups to extend access to innovative technology to emerging companies in the start-up community.

Microsoft for Startups is a program that has been set to deliver the technology, go-to-market and community benefits needed to support start-ups. The program helps B2B start-ups from more than 140 countries sell their solutions to Microsoft’s enterprise customers. Microsoft for Startups’ offers include a wide range of technical and commercial support to enable start-ups to scale and grow.

This commitment has led to a collaboration with Arrow’s IoT and engineering services team. Arrow aggregates and integrates a diverse set of technologies to bring start-ups’ connected products to market. Through focus verticals in agriculture, medical, industrial, and smart cities, Arrow is well positioned to provide the building blocks in wireless, gateways, cloud, and sensors for complete IoT solutions.

This collaboration with Arrow will allow both companies to combine the twinned areas of expertise in scaling solutions from both a software and hardware perspective. By working together, the goal is to enable start-up success using Arrow technology and support to connect to the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

“We in Microsoft for Startups are really excited to be entering into this collaboration with Arrow`s IoT and engineering service team,” said Andrew Macadam, global multi-country managing director, Microsoft for Startups. “Through this collaboration, we will bring in our shared expertise in cloud, enabled through hardware, to accelerate the go-to-market strategies of the world’s most exciting start-ups.”

With its wide range of products, services and know-how, Arrow can address most elements of an IoT solution – from core electronics to IT.

Arrow offers services across the entire life cycle, including sensors, connectivity, cloud, analytics, security, IT infrastructure and asset planning. Arrow also offers engineering services on a modular basis to address either specific needs or a complete system, providing product engineering and semiconductor design services. Arrow’s service offerings include digital transformation and connected IoT solutions using Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
