Arrow Electronics extends global secure provisioning services for IoT devices

Arrow Electronics has extended its global secure provisioning service to cover silicon from Cypress, Infineon and Microchip in addition to NXP Semiconductors Secure Elements, which participated in Arrow’s initial offering launched in 2018. The service is said to enable the rapid deployment of IoT edge nodes and gateways featuring hardware-based security features. Secure provisioning capabilities will be made available to Arrow’s customers globally.

Arrow’s programming and provisioning technology is based on a highly secured and reliable chain of trust, the company says. This consists of relationships with leading global domain experts on device security and Certificate Authorities; the secured transfer of customer IP and security credentials; and highly secure programming platforms. There is support for registration for device certificates at multiple cloud service providers, and certificate lifecycle management services are also available.

According to Arrow, it delivers complete end-to-end security solutions, including cybersecurity. These secured provisioning services are just one building block out of Arrow’s comprehensive portfolio of technology from sensors, wireless connectivity, gateways to cloud platforms, data ingestion, aggregation and visualisation, analytics and security.
