International Institute of Obsolescence Management Conference, Workshop and Exhibition

The International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM) has announced that its third International Conference will take place in London from the 11th -13th June.

This conference is the world’s largest dedicated obsolescence management event and covers the entire supply chain, from component vendors to system integrators and end users.

This conference will bring together Obsolescence Management professionals, solution providers and those who want to learn how to understand and reduce their exposure to obsolescence risk.

Delegates and speakers will come from more than fifteen countries including the USA, India, New Zealand and Europe. The Conference title ‘Managing the Cost of Obsolescence’ and the sub theme ‘‘Developing Strategies for Obsolescence Management to Mitigate Risk & Through Life Cost’’ was chosen by IIOM members.

The conference takes place on the 12th & 13th June when 24 papers on all aspects of obsolescence management will be presented. Speakers come from globally recognised companies such as Alstom, Ultra, Arrow Electronics, Safran Electrical and Power, the US DOD, IHS Markit, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, BP, & Aker Solutions.

Preceding the conference will be two workshops also led by industry experts: “Designing to Avoid Obsolescence at the Concept and Proposal Stage”, and “Obsolescence Management and Supply Chain resilience”.

There will be an associated exhibition with more than a dozen obsolescence resolution and training companies showing delegates their capabilities.
