The ISLA21XPXX is a series of low power, high performance12-16-bit analog-to-digital converters. The series is the only pin-compatible ADC family that supports maximum sampling rates from 130 to 500MSPS. These ADCs offer better SNR which makes more sensitive receivers, and data acquisition systems. They offer lower power than many of the competitors, which simplifies the system power and thermal design. These ADCs offer better high input frequency performance which enables IF receivers (vs. IQ) that simplify the design, improves manufacturability, and lowers cost. They are part of a broad, pin-compatible family which allows design re-use which can simplify system designs, reduce design risk, and speed time to market. For advanced applications that benefit from multi-channel design, including data acquisition systems, radar array processing, broadband/wideband communications, software defined radios, and communications test equipment, the ISLA21XP family is an ideal choice. The ISLA214P50 is a 14-bit, 500MSPS ADC that consumes 63% less power while sampling at a rate 25% higher than any other 14-Bit ADC. The ISLA214P50 was designed using Intersil's proprietary FemtoCharge™ technology and operates from a 1.8V power supply. The converter's ultra-high sample rate and resolution improve sensitivity and accuracy, while the decrease in power consumption allows simplified thermal and power system design.
