Advantech’s high-performance digital signage platform ideal for multi-display applications

The lightweight and extremely compact ARK-DS762 is the size of a notebook making it easy to attach to the back of a display. Powered by 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors, the ARK-DS762 can be combined with any of Advantech-GPEG's screens, which range from 3.5in to 80in, to create a stunning digital signage display. Its modular design features VESA mount capability, allowing for easy installation and removal for maintenance without disturbing the screens, which greatly accelerates installation and saves on costs for system integrators. The ARK-DS762 can support 3 x HDMI independent displays, and supports Microsoft® Kinect™ technology that allows a screen to become a virtual interactive mirror that can be controlled with gestures or spoken commands. Realising that software integration is a major challenge during customers' deployment; Advantech developed a dedicated signage software solution – USIAccess for Signage – to run on ARK-DS762. SUSIAccess for Signage Software Makes Display Systems Smarter Preloaded in ARK-DS762, SUSIAccess for Signage is a software suite offering multiple functions including content editing, signage management, and remote monitoring. Its intuitive user interface enables easy, drag-and-drop content scheduling. Users can broadcast various content formats like video, web pages, and Flash from the control dashboard while updating content simply from a USB flash disk. The software also enables users to accurately schedule playlists and configure playback settings for specific days and times with the graphic calendar view. It also supports a multi-language electronic marquee function. With SUSIAccess for Signage built-in, ARK-DS762 can manage multiple devices, with immediate detection of malfunctions. Many problems can be solved using remote KVM, without engineers being on site. This ultimately reduces repair times because problems and solutions can be identified at an early stage. One big challenge for open information distribution systems is unauthorised content and message delivery. For this, ARK-DS762 integrates McAfee's white list protection solution to prevent unauthorised content from entering the system.
