A new compact, industrial, single board computer with the latest Intel® Atom™ N2000 and D2000 series processors

Review Display Systems Ltd has just introduced the GENE-CV05 sub compact Single Board Computer. Measuring just 146mmx102mm this highly integrated board has an impressive industrial feature set and uses the latest industrial range of Intel® Atom™ processors including the D2700, N2800 and N2600. The board is also capable of supporting dual LCD screens via two LVDS interfaces.

Review Display Systems Ltd have recently introduced a new version of the Gene sub-compact, 3.5" single board computer. The Gene CV-05 features the latest D2000 or N2000 series Intel® Atom™ Processors for improved processing and graphics performance with lower power consumption. Measuring just 146mm x 102mm this compact board is ideal for applications where space is at a premium, yet performance is a must. The 1.8Ghz N2800 and 1.6Ghz N2600 are available as a Fanless solution whilst the 2.13 Ghz D2700 requires an active cooler, all are used with the Intel® NM10 Express chipset. The D2700 and N2800 will support up to 4GB of DDR3 memory the N2600 able to support 2GB of DDR3. Importantly the D2700 supports Dual LVDS connections, one configured as a 24 –bit single Channel and one 18/24 –bit dual channel, the N2800 and N2600 also supports two LVDS connections, one 18bit- single channel and one 18/24 bit Dual channel, making the board ideal for dual display signage applications. The Gene-CV05 offers a comprehensive range of other on board features including, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 channel audio with amplifier, SATA, 3.0Gb/s HDD interface, plus one CFast™ socket. For communication with the outside world the board also supports six USB 2.0 ports and six serial ports plus an 8-bit digital I/O port. An additional user interface feature is the inclusion of an on–board 4/5/8 wire touch screen controller. The board requires a single 12 volt supply and has operating temperature range of 0ºC to 60ºC. A range of expansion options are also available together with display interface cables, solid-state storage devices and industrial display panels.
