Sealed AC/DC power module for outdoor displays and industrial controls

EFORE’s ROAL branded DDP400 high efficiency AC/DC sealed power module has been launched by Luso Electronics. The power supply is suited to digital outdoor displays, LED lighting, and industrial control or clean room equipment where fan noise or moving air is not acceptable.

With a typical 94% efficiency, the DDP400 generates less heat, facilitating thermal management in space constrained environments. The device delivers 400W of regulated DC power from an input range of 90 to 264V AC. It is said to be 20% smaller than competing 300W modules, enabling designers to integrate it into 1U applications.

The DDP series is available in four standard outputs – 12, 24, 36 and 48V DC – with auxiliary 12V DC and stand-by 5V DC outputs.

When conduction cooled, or convection cooled with its optional heat sink assembly, the module can deliver full output power in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50°C. It can operate up to 70°C with de-rating. Protection features include fuse on each AC lines, input under voltage lockout, output over current, output short circuit, output over voltage and over temperature.

The sealed IP67 rated package can be installed in contact with the thermo-conductive part of the system to transfer heat by conduction which enhances performances.

The DDP400 measures 83.05 x 211.84 x 41.91mm and is available in four package styles.
