Quad SPI flash family extended

Cypress has added 64Mbit and 128Mbit devices to its family of NOR flash memories. Featuring a Quad Serial Peripheral Interface, the FL-L NOR parts are said to provide reliability and security for high-performance embedded systems such as ADAS, automotive clusters, industrial control and smart factory equipment.

Featuring low power consumption and qualified to AEC-Q100, the parts boast high read bandwidth, fast program time and extended temperature range operation. Using 4kbyte physical sectors, the devices are said to store program code and parametric data optimally.
The 128Mbit and 256Mbit parts in the FL-L Quad SPI family support 133MHz single data rate and 66MHz double data rate (DDR), for a bandwidth of 67Mbit/s. The 64Mbit device uses a 54MHz DDR mode for a read bandwidth of 54Mbit/s.

Designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125°C, the devices are available in industry standard packages including the 4 x 4mm USON.
