Powerful single board computer for range of apps

Said to be one of the most powerful single board computers available in the 5.25in embedded form factor, the LS-579 from BVM is suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

Based on Intel 6th and 7th Generation Skylake and Kaby Lake Core processor families, the board can also be supplied with the Xeon E3-1200 v5/v6 processor in a FCLGA1151 socket. All variants come with the Intel C236 chipset.

The HD530 GPU in the Xeon processor, running at up to 1.15GHz, features 24 execution units capable of decoding H.265/HEVC in hardware. Meanwhile, the HD630 GPU in the Kaby Lake version is largely identical to the HD530 in the Skylake variant, but with HEVC and VP9 support. Up to three displays can be controlled simultaneously, via VGA, VDS, HDMI and DP ports.

The LS-579 is supplied with range of gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as six USB3.0 ports, four SATAIII ports, four RS232 and two RS232/422/485 ports and four USB2.0 ports.
