microUSB adaptor module complies with TransferJet standard
Toshiba has launched what it claims to be the industry's first microUSB adaptor module compliant with the TransferJet close proximity wireless transfer technology standard.
The TJM35420MU integrates a TransferJet transceiver ic, coupler, rf filter, peripheral passive parts and a usb connection circuit. TransferJet communications can be implemented in Android devices, such as smartphones and tablets, by inserting the module in the port and installing application software for Android.
Support for other operating systems is being prepared. Mass production of the module is scheduled to begin in March 2013.
