Low dropout regulator in bumpless package

A low dropout voltage regulator launched by STMicroelectronics provides up to 200mA from an input voltage ranging from 1.5V to 5.5V, with a typical dropout voltage of 200mV.

Suitable for wearable and portable devices, as well as flexible electronics, the regulator is available in a 0.47 x 0.47 x 0.2mm chip-scale STSTAMP package, allowing the maximum space saving.

The device is stabilised with a ceramic capacitor on the output. The low drop voltage, low quiescent current and low noise features, together with the internal soft-start circuit, make the LDBL20 suitable for low power battery-operated applications.

A logic control function puts the LDBL20 in shutdown mode with a total current consumption of less than 0.2µA. Constant current and thermal protection are provided.

Built-in features include logic controlled electronic shutdown, internal soft-start and support for active output voltage discharge.

Key Features:
  • Low quiescent current (20µA, 0.03 µA typically in off mode)
  • Output voltage tolerance: ± 1.5% at 25°C
  • High PSRR (80Db at 1kHz, 50db at 100kHz)
  • Output voltages ranging from 0.8V to 5V
  • Operating temperatures ranging from -40 to 125°C
