Loopback cards for transceiver test

Samtec has release of the two new VITA 57.4-compliant FMC+ loopback cards. The devices are said to provide FPGA designers with easy to use loopback options for testing low and high speed transceivers on any FPGA development board or carrier card.

Both cards – the VITA 57.4 FMC+ HSPC and the VITA 57.4 FMC+ HSPC/HSPCe – come in VITA 57.4-compliant formats. The cards feature optimised signal integrity performance via Samtec Final Inch break-out region PCB trace routing for the VITA 57.4 FMC+ connectors included in the cards.

The VITA 57.4 FMC+ HSPC includes one HSPC VITA 57.4 FMC+ connector and supports 24 transceivers operating at up to 28Gbit/s per channel.

Meanwhile, the HSPC/HSPCe card includes one HSPC VITA 57.4 FMC+ connector and one HSPCe VITA 57.4 FMC+ connector. This supports up to 32 transeceivers operating at up to 28Gbit/s per channel. The HSPC connector features 560pins, which the HSPC features 80pins.
