Express compact module features AMD G-series SoC

The EmETXe-a58M0 COM Express type 6 module released by Arbor Technology features the second generation AMD embedded G-Series SoC processor. Compared to the current SoC platform, the board is said to provide higher performance and a lower power draw due to an improved Jaguar+ CPU architecture and AMD Radeon 8000 graphics core.

According to the company, graphics engine speed has been increased to 800MHz and the DDR3 interface to 1866MT/s. A new function of the G-Series includes Core Boost Frequency to ensure appropriate processor overclocking.

The SoC on COM Express compact module is designed for low power embedded applications in the control and automation industry, as well as digital gaming, communication infrastructure and other graphics-intensive devices.
