Audio chip gives better quality sound

ON Semiconductor and AfterMaster HD Audio Labs, have released the BelaSigna 300 AM DSP chip which they claim will enhance the listening experience on consumer devices.

BelaSigna 300 AM is a DSP-based audio processor which is able to execute the AfterMaster HD algorithm within a system that also includes a host processor and/or external I2S-based mono or stereo A/D and D/A converters

The chip is designed for use in small electronic applications requiring a solution to the limitations of small or downward-facing speakers, including flat-screen televisions, smartphones or headphones.

It can be installed by manufacturers to provide better quality sound in audio devices. Measuring,3.63 x 2.68 x 0.92mm and housed in a WLCSP package, the chip consumes 4mA from a 1.8V supply.

The AfterMaster HD algorithm processes audio signals in real-time to provide a significant increase in loudness, clarity, depth, and fullness.
