Active mixer said to deliver 7GHz bandwidth and a 20dbm OIP3

An active double-balanced mixer claims to be capable of 50Ω matching over frequencies ranging from 30MHz to 7GHz.

The LTC5562 from Analog Devices is designed to be used in either frequency upconversion or downconversion applications. With a conversion gain of 2dB, the device is said to draw 40mA nominal operating current and to run from a single 3.3V supply rail. Configuration should also be possible, to allow the device to operate at just 15mA.

Range performance is +20dBm OIP3 at 3.6GHz frequency, says Analog Devices.

Available in a 10-lead, 2 x 2mm plastic QFN pack, the device should be rated for operation from –40 to 105°C case temperature.

An enable pin allows an external controller to shut down the mixer. When disabled, the device typically draws 10μA supply current.
