Wireless module offers five connectivity standards

Murata has unveiled the LBEL6Z2TXC wireless combination module featuring an AEC-Q100 compliant chipset, targeted at automotive applications.

Measuring 24.6 x 18 x 3mm, the device supports wireless LAN, Bluetooth and Bluetooth low energy (BLE) communications as well as offering an FM radio receiver and GPS receiver. By combining these five wireless functions into a single package, Murata says the module allows designers to simplify their designs, save board space and speed time to market as the modules are pre qualified. The WLAN feature is IEEE 802.11 b, g and n compliant and also supports WiFi Direct. Bluetooth 4.0 class 2 compliant support and H4 protocol is also standard. Typical applications include car infotainment, parking assistance, telematics, driver assist and internet in car. The LBEL6Z2TXC has an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C.
