Toshiba adds another part to its Cortex-M0 based MCU portfolio

Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its TX00 series of ARM Cortex-M0 based microcontrollers with the addition of the TMPM037FWUG, designed for motor control applications. With a maximum operating frequency of 20MHz and an operating voltage range from 2.3V to 3.6V, the part is said to be suited to use in applications such as printers, consumer electronics, digital equipment and factory automation.

Housed in an LQFP64 package measuring 10 x 10mm and with a pin pitch of 0.5mm, the MCU integrates an eight channel 10bit A/D converter and a 10 channel 16bit timer with a programmable pulse generator. Also featured is 128kbyte of NAND flash and 16kbyte of SRAM, along with a six channel serial interface – five channels of SIO/UART and one I2C channel – which is said to eliminate the need for interface extension ICs and to reduce manufacturing cost.
