Tektronix announces mid range logic analyser

Tektronix has announced a mid range logic analyser to its range, designed to bring a high end debug and analysis device to embedded system designers.

According to the test and measurement specialist, the TLA6000 series delivers the performance and functional capability of its existing TLA7000 series of instruments, but at a much lower price point. Trevor Smith, market development manager at Tektronix, said: "The device targets high level embedded designers who may have issues with signal integrity. As well as signal integrity tools, it incorporates features such as drag and drop triggering and advanced analysis tools for digital system applications such as fpgas and ddr. The series is available in 68, 102, and 136 digital channel configurations with 125ps high speed timing on all channels, up to 450MHz state timing and up to 128Mb length. It incorporates features such as iCapture multiplexing that eliminates double probing with simultaneous digital and analogue acquisition through a single logic analyzer probe. Smith added: "Glitch trigger and storage allows users to trigger on and display observed signal integrity faults, while the iView display provides a useful time correlated view of both logic analyser and oscilloscope data on the same display." The TLA6000 series has been designed for debug and analysis applications including signal integrity analysis, fpga debug and verification, MIPI protocol analysis, memory system validation, and embedded software integration and debug.
