STFC launches the Campus Technology Hub

An advanced engineering technology centre called the Campus Technology Hub (CTH), pictured, has opened at the Science and Technology Facility’s Council’s (STFC) Daresbury Laboratory.

The CTH aims to provide UK businesses and entrepreneurs with an affordable access to an array of advanced engineering technology. It offers advanced 3D printing and prototype facilities, including full range of electronic test and measurement equipment, which should help to speed the prototype process. It will be available to universities, research organisations and businesses of all sizes.

Professor Susan Smith, head of STFC’s Daresbury Laboratory, said: “The CTH has one purpose – to provide companies with affordable access to the best skills and facilities in engineering research and development so that they can solve their technology challenges to better compete on a national and international level.”
