Starter kit aims to inspire IoT innovation
Electronics distributor Conrad Business Supplies is working with start up company relayr to support the development and launch of WunderBar, an Internet of Things (IoT) starter kit.
The kit, along with relayr's Open Sensor Cloud platform, allows application developers to begin working on wireless applications and prototype building without needing to learn about hardware.
WunderBar resembles a chocolate bar with seven 'chunks' that can be broken off. A Wi-Fi enabled master module with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is accompanied by six smart sensor mini modules, each of which has BLE, a sensor or actuator and a battery.
Sensor functionality includes light, colour, distance, temperature, noise and humidity, plus an accelerometer, a gyroscope and IR remote control. A Grove connector on the fifth module brings Arduino compatibility.
