ST expands STM32F4 MCU family with entry level parts

STMicroelectronics has added more entry level devices to its STM32F4 microcontroller family. Apart from introducing devices with more memory and extra features, it has also announced STM32F4 MCUs qualified to 125°C.

The STM32F412 and the high temperature STM32F410 lines are accompanied by the 84MHz STM32F401 and 100MHz STM32F410/F411/F412 lines. Based on the ARM Cortex-M4 core, the parts are available with flash memory ranging from 128kbyte to 1Mbyte and with up to 256kbyte of RAM.

The STM32F412 comes with a dual mode 100MHz Quad-SPI interface and a Flexible Memory Controller for static memory, allowing expansion of the integrated flash and RAM. There is also a new LCD parallel interface, supporting displays of up to QVGA resolution with 16bit colour depth or WQVGA with 8bit depth. A True Random Number Generator supports security algorithms.

According to the company, the STM32F410 is the first step in a process that will qualify all STM32F4 Access Line MCUs to 125°C.
