Red Pitaya T&M board now available from RS

Red Pitaya – a low cost, open source test instrumentation and control platform launched last year through a successful Kickstarter campaign – is now available to order from RS Components.

The board packs an Xilinx Zynq SoC, oscilloscope, arbitrary waveform generator, PID controller and various other digital I/O functions. It is based on the GNU/Linux operating system and can be programmed at different levels using a variety of software interfaces, including: HDL, C/C++, scripting languages, and HTML based web interfaces. Philip Dock, global head of product & supplier management at RS, said: "Red Pitaya has sparked a considerable amount of excitement among engineers in the test and measurement sector. "No other instrumentation product on the market can offer such functionality and flexibility at a price that is affordable within even the smallest of budgets. We expect to see high demand for the product, so we are encouraging customers to place orders early to secure the fastest delivery."
