Premo announces SY series of hall effect sensors

Inductive component manufacturer, Premo, has announced a new series of hall effect sensors designed for a double supply voltage of +/-12 to +/-18Vdc.

According to Premo, the SY series is a closed loop technology in small package for THT mounting. Primary winding is integrated which enables measurement of dc, ac and pulse currents on pcbs. The range is impregnated with a 3kV isolation voltage, and has been designed for nominal currents of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50Amps. The output signal is centred at 0V with an output voltage of +/-4V, which Premo states allows the detection of currents up to three times nominal value. This is said to provide a linearity <0.1% with +/-7% accuracy levels. Bandwidth is up to 150kHz with a response time below 1us. Premo claims that offset drift versus temperature is as low as 0.5mV/°C.
