Lewis has been non-executive director of the company since October 2009 and most recently has consulted to lead the exploitation of the Audium amplifier technology, acquired in March 2010. After returning to the UK from the US he formed his own consultancy, Parallaxis, to support start up and small hi tech companies. Lewis said: "NXT has created some of the world's great audio and display technologies, and I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to lead the company forward at this exciting stage and I'm very much looking forward to working even more closely with the NXT team." NXT's present ceo, Peter Thoms, will become vice chairman of the company and continue to be based in the Hong Kong office. NXT licenses patented sound and touch technologies to designers and manufacturers in the consumer, automotive and aerospace sectors.
