NI posts record Q1 results

National Instruments achieved record revenue in the first quarter of this year.

The test and measurement specialist saw revenue jump to $286million in Q1, up 10% from the same period in 2012. The success is attributed to increased demand for its LabVIEW, PXI, CompactRIO and NI CompactDAQ products. Despite the strong results, Dr James Truchard, NI's co founder, president and ceo, pictured, said the company was 'disappointed' that it overspent in Q1. "We are now focusing our efforts on activities that have proven successful in growing our large order business," he noted.
