Multi port secure device server offers ‘bullet proof’ security
Alpha Micro has launched a multi port secure device server designed to offer Ethernet or GSM/GPRS connectivity for remote access as well as easy management of machines and equipment over a network and across the internet.
Developed by Lantronix, the PremierWave XC is suitable for applications in vertical markets such as telemetry, utilities, industrial automation, healthcare and energy.
"By utilising the GSM/GPRS network, this new product provides a solution for applications in areas that do not have an Ethernet or WiFi infrastructure, or for installations that have Ethernet connectivity and rely on GSM/GPRS for failover backup ensuring redundancy," commented Maxine Hewitt, marketing director at Alpha Micro.
The company claims the PremierWave XC provides 'bullet proof' security by offering various data encryption and authentication options. Featuring the Lantronix device server application suite with AES, SSH and SSL, it is optimised to allow safe and secure remote access and management from practically anywhere.
