Low power board launched at Nuremberg

Embedded World 2009, now well underway, has been the launchpad for Eurotech’s new low power board, designed for rugged applications.

The Isis XL PC/104 Plus board is based on the Intel Atom processor Z5xx series platform Jonathan Luse, director of marketing, low power embedded products division, Intel, explained that the platform is intended to bring higher processing capabilities and power improvements to companies committed to PC/104 design. "The latest offerings of the Intel Atom processor Z5xx platform with industrial temperature range are ideal for fanless solutions that need to operate in unconstrained thermal environments," he said. "Embedded computing systems based on Intel Atom, such as the Eurotech Isis XL, enable next generation devices for many different industries." Both the Eurotech Catalyst module XL and Isis XL demonstrations are being exhibited at Embedded World.
