Keithley adds touch control to source measurement unit

Keithley Instruments has released its first major product platform since it became part of the Tektronix group in 2010.

The SourceMeter 2450, an I-V instrument, has a number of features and upgrades from previous models, but its most significant feature is the touchscreen interface, a first in the Keithley range. Designed to reduce the number of buttons and make the test process more intuitive and faster, the 2450 also features measurement ranges down to a current of 10nA and voltage to 20mV, enabling applications such R&D, semiconductor and nanoelectronics as well as more typical applications for IV instruments in sectors like automotive and medical. Another interesting feature is the Test Script Processor, previously featured in the 2400 instrument and therefore enabling migration of legacy test programs, which embeds complete test programs into non-volatile memory.
