Greenpeace has issued the latest list of electronics manufacturers which it considers are adhering best to greener guidelines.

The latest edition of the Guide to Green Electronics reveals that Nokia remains at the top spot, primarily because of its reduction in toxic substances, although Greenpeace criticised the company for failing to actively lobby for the revised RoHS. Nokia was followed by Sony Ericsson, which similarly had focused on the reduction of toxic substances, while Toshiba, finished third, followed by Apple in fourth and LG Electronics in fifth. At the other end of the list, Nintendo faired poorest, while Microsoft, just one position above, was cited by Greenpeace as failing to support strong chemicals legislation.
