Fully integrated seven channel relay driver is ‘industry’s first’

Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced what it claims is the industry's first fully integrated, seven channel relay driver that can support low voltage relays from 1.8 to 5V.

The ULN2003LV is designed to replace various discrete components with a single device to drive lower voltages for data relays and rails within telecommunications equipment. Using the ULN2003LV ic, TI says users can reduce board space by up to 80% while lowering power consumption and cost. The device is available in 10 x 4mm 16pin SOIC and 5.1 x 4.5mm, 16pin TSSOP packages.
