Digi-Key extends Fujitsu agreement

Digi-Key has signed a new agreement with Fujitsu Microelectronics under which it will distribute on an exclusive online basis the latter's 8bit MB95200 mcus and the FMA1127 touch sensor controller.

The 8bit MB95200 series of mcus is designed for home appliances, consumer healthcare products and aftermarket car accessories, while the FMA1127 digital touchscreen sensor ic is described as a low power, easy to implement capacitive touch controller. Additional Fujitsu products covered by the agreement include phase locked loops, d/a converters, power management ics, spread spectrum clock generators and microcontrollers. "Fujitsu has a strong record of developing innovative, high quality and easy to use mcus, wireless ics, power management devices and other products that we are certain will appeal to our customers," said Dave Doherty, Digi-Key's vice president for semiconductor products. "We look forward to making this new portfolio available to designers and developers worldwide." Keith Horn, chief operating officer of Fujitsu Microelectronics America, noted: "Designers and engineers rely on Digi-Key for quality and availability and count on the organisation as a reliable source of ocs and development tools.
