Altium Designer 14 launched

With a heavy emphasis on core pcb design technologies, Altium Designer 14 features support for flex and rigid-flex design, including schematic capture, 3d pcb layout, analysis and programmable design. There are also wizards to import design data from other ECAD and MCAD formats, and support for embedded pcb components. Frank Hoschar, the company's chief marketing officer, said: "Altium Designer 14 is a significant step forward compared to previous Altium Designer products delivering the functionality and features our customers need to fuel electronics innovation and performance.
