A one day seminar design to provide attendees with an overview of what’s required to produce Windows Embedded Standard solutions. After completing this workshop, attendees should be able to: Outline a process that can be used for building and customising a WES operating system; understand how to determine target hardware driver requirements; understand how to construct Windows Embedded Standard components; understand how to add Windows Embedded components to a component database; outline how to deploy a Windows Embedded operating system; understand the ‘first boot’ process and what it does; understand under what circumstances the Write Filter components may be used; understand under what circumstances Storage Device Image tools may be used; and implement a simple Windows Embedded project.
