The Royal Society – Summer Science Exhibition 2015

The Summer Science Exhibition is a free to attend annual display of the most exciting cutting-edge science and technology in the UK. This week-long festival features 22 exhibits from the forefront of innovation. You can meet the scientists, try some of the hands-on activities or attend some inspiring talks and events.

Among the exhibits at this year's event are 'Clever Clothes', a demonstration of smart clothing and wearable technology presented by the National Physical Laboratory, Coventry University and Footfalls & Heartbeats.

The University of Sheffield present 'Quantum Light', a study into harnessing light as an information carrier to facilitate quantum computing.

'Smart Sensing' by the Hamlyn Centre, Imperial College London, will teach you to build a smart sensor and how these sensors could transform healthcare from reactive to proactive.

'Super Sight', a demonstration of augmented reality, is being presented by the National Physics Laboratory and TruLife Optics.

'Tiny Tech' is a joint presentation by the Universities of Southampton, Nottingham and Warwick whereby they propose the use of 'supercritical fluids' to build ultra-small circuitry.

The exhibition is being held at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace in London between 30th June and 5th July.
