Rapid prototyping with 32bit microcontrollers

A one day workshop in Cambridge, organised by the ESP KTN in partnership with ARM and Cool Components, is aimed at demonstrating how easy it can be to rapidly prototype a new idea for an electronic product using a 32 bit microcontroller.

Participants in this workshop will learn about the capabilities of the mbed microcontroller board, and how to quickly set up and start developing functionality using the free, lightweight, online compiler and libraries of code. The afternoon session will also include a 'Freeform Lab', which will give all delegates a hands-on opportunity to play with the mbed board and a selection of peripheral components including sensors, actuators, displays and interfaces. At the end of the workshop all participants will take home an mbed board, plus a kit of components, allowing them to continue experimenting and prototyping and exploring the possibilities of the platform.
