To accurately model the semiconductor components of an optoelectronic device, the simultaneous coupling between the underlying semiconductor and electromagnetic phenomena is required.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate how to use the COMSOL software to model a simple GaAs PIN diode structure. In the multiphysics model, the corresponding adsorption of the light and the associated change in the complex refractive index will be included in a self-consistent manner.
