Can you outfox a speed camera?

Some people are driven to distraction by speed cameras. Rather than consider them as one of the elements deployed to increase road safety, they see them as something which interferes with their desire to get to point B almost before they leave point A. Other views are available, as they say.

But here's an interesting thing: can you drive fast enough for the camera not to recognise your number plate? It's a question that has been considered by a group of physics students from the University of Leicester. Their conclusion? Yes, you can.
