Socionext Graphics SoC SC1810 with OpenVXTM-Engine

The Socionext Graphics SoC SC18010 presented at this year’s Embedded World exhibition contains the world’s first OpenVX-compliant Embedded Vision Engine and thus enables a range of computer vision applications. The strength of this new Embedded Vision Engine is its speed, and the vast number of algorithms, as recent research has shown.

Applications include: object detection and tracking, image enhancement algorithms, auto-calibration processes, intelligent surveillance applications, driver assistance systems, robotic solutions as well as acceleration of neural networks.

The recently developed OpenVX™ standard, is designed to provide the performance and power-efficiency required for demanding real-time embedded vision applications. OpenVXTM is particularly energy-saving for complex calculations, which makes it especially interesting for mobile and embedded platforms.

This new graphics SoC SC1810 offers not only a vision processer, an ARM® Quad-Core CPU, but also a PowerVR Series8XE 3D-GPU, and a Socionext 2D SEERIS™ Graphics Engine. It also supports the H.264 Decoding and Encoding Cores, and is capable of handling multiple camera images simultaneously as well as supporting surround-view, electric mirrors and drive recorders. Up to 6 full HD video inputs and three full HD display outputs are available.

It is also fully compatible with CGI Studio, our custom 2D/3D HMI creative solution for embedded applications and supports our 360°Wrap-Around-View Technology.
