15nm eMMC NAND flash memory for automotive applications

Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a range of 15nm eMMC NAND flash memory for automotive infotainment systems as well as industrial applications. The eMMC operates over a temperature range of -40 to 85°C and meets AEC-Q100 specifications as well as adhering to PPAP requirements.

The line-up of single-package embedded NAND flash memories is said to be well-suited to the demanding requirements of the automotive infotainment market, and includes densities from 8 to 64GByte. Each device integrates a controller to manage basic control functions for NAND applications.

Toshiba’s 15nm eMMC offers fast read/write performance due to improvements in basic chip performance and controller optimisation and is claimed to be among the world’s smallest, available in an 11.5 x 13mm package that is fully compliant with the latest JEDEC eMMC standard.
