The format of the day will be as follows: Session 1 We will begin the day with an introductory session explaining the basic principles of EMC, why we need it, where it comes from and how we test for it. This session will be split into 2 parts, covering EMC Emissions and EMC Immunity/Susceptibility respectively and will address the fundamentals of EMC. Session 2 Having covered the basic concepts and principles in Session 1, this session will look at how EMC is applied across different technologies and industry sectors, particularly in respect to the standards used to test against and how they are applied. Again, this session will be split into to 2 parts, covering EMC Emissions and EMC Immunity/Susceptibility respectively. Session 3 This session will give the participants a chance to see some real test examples with equipment set-ups and to talk more intimately with the presenters. There will be 4 separate workshop sessions, all running in parallel and attendees are invited to move between as appropriate to their interests. Each workshop will repeat approx every 15 mins, so that people have a chance to visit all 4 if they wish. Session 4 In this final session we will have guest speakers from British companies who are leaders in their fields of business. They will give participants valuable insights into how their businesses deal with EMC and the challenges they face in meeting global market demands.
