RS Components offers exclusive free warranty on range of Tektronix oscilloscopes

An extended five year warranty worth up to €362 is now available free-of-charge exclusively to RS customers across the UK and Europe on all purchases of products in the Tektronix MSO/DPO 2000 series ordered online through RS until 31 December 2011.

RS Components, the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, and Tektronix, a leading supplier of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, have announced an exclusive five year free-of-charge warranty promotion to support the Tektronix MSO/DPO 2000 range of oscilloscopes, targeting applications such as embedded design, mixed signal design, video design, education and training, and automotive electronics. This exclusive offer is available to customers across the UK and Europe on all purchases of products in the MSO/DPO 2000 series ordered online through RS until 31 December 2011.

Normally available to purchase at a cost of up to €362, the free warranty provides electronic design engineers with the assurance of minimum downtime during the repair process, and guarantees priority status at the depot, ahead of on-demand repairs. Online tools are provided to enable the customer to quickly order a repair and to track its progress. Tektronix operates global service coverage, which means that replacement parts and tools can be accessed and despatched immediately at no additional cost to the customer.

During the promotion, customers ordering any oscilloscope from the MSO/DPO 2000 range through the RS website at www.rs-components.com/tektronix will be supplied with a media code which the customer must use when purchasing from the MSO/DPO 2000 range, in order to be eligible for the free five year warranty.

Fred Knowles, Head of Product Management – Electronics at RS Components said, "This exclusive promotion in conjunction with Tektronix is yet another demonstration of RS's commitment to nurture strong partnerships with leading industry suppliers to deliver first class service and value-for-money to our customers."

Nigel Bentley, Channel Partner Manager, Tektronix said: "I am really pleased that RS has taken the initiative with this excellent campaign and offered its customers this extended five year warranty using the Tektronix multi-vendor service solution which we operate with global coverage. Our customers will be better served from this initiative from two truly high service providers."
