Intel Embedded Display platform available with high bright displays up to 15.6in.

andersDX is offering its DX86 platform with four display sizes. The 12.1 and 15.6in devices are optically bonded for excellent sunlight readability. The established recipe offers a ready-built chassis integrating TFT display, touch screen and powerful embedded processor, plus access to off-the-shelf Windows and Linux applications and drivers. All this can be provided to mount onto a metal mounting plate.

At the beginning of the year, andersDX responded to customer demand by extending its popular embedded display platforms into the Intel world, and increased screen sizes to include brand new 12.1 and 15.6in screens. It is continuing to enhance the DX86 range with new improvements, including full Linux support and a WI-FI option.

The DX86 follows the established recipe, with a ready-built chassis integrating TFT display, touch screen and powerful embedded processor. Offered with Windows Embedded Standard 7 or Ubuntu 14.04 as standard operating system, with all required drivers, extensive I/O including seven USB ports, two gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, Wi-Fi, mini PCIE sockets and GPIO. Customers can also load their own software. All this can be provided to mount onto a metal mounting plate.

andersDX is also working on a 19in PCAP display which will be coming soon. The recently introduced 12.1in DX86 offers superior contrast and improved readability in sunlight, thanks to its optically bonded display. Meanwhile, the 15.6in unit has a 1020cd/m display, which has also been optically bonded.

The platforms can be tweaked to suit an individual application, including: cabling; screen glass; backlighting; processor speed; and interfaces. Developers can create a prototype using a standard module from andersDXEvaluation kits available to purchase on the website. When the time comes, you can move from proof of concept to the development of a production unit. At this stage, the platform provides enormous flexibility of screen choice, interfaces, specifications and driver software.
