Plextek and Design Momentum announce strategic partnership

Plextek Services and Design Momentum (DM) have announced a strategic partnership to develop scientific instruments and laboratory equipment for life sciences.

The partnership brings together Plextek’s expertise in electronic design and development at its ISO13485-certified labs with Design Momentum’s many years of work in delivering innovative life science technology design.

The COVID-19 crisis is showing the need for rapid development of critical technology to support the life science industry. With a public and Government focus on medical technologies, the new partnership reflects the need for instrumentation companies to collaborate and embrace new technologies to drive efficiency and productivity.

The Plextek-DM partnership brings together in-depth skills and experience in product inception, through industrial design, development and manufacture, and will allow clients to harness the latest technologies and speed up time-to-market in this period of rapid change.

“The Plextek-DM partnership offers a powerful combination of skills and experience in the laboratory equipment sector to provide a one-stop opportunity for life science companies and builds on our two organisations’ previous collaborations,” said Nick Hill, Plextek’s CEO. “Creativity and change are often driven by disruption and we can help companies to innovate rapidly to stay ahead with focus and precision. DM’s collaborative approach is uniquely complementary to how we work at Plextek and we look forward to a fruitful partnership.”
