Deal with SparkFun adds maker products to Mouser site

A global distribution agreement between Mouser and SparkFun Electronics brings access to 500 SparkFun products, including SparkFun’s Arduino Pro, RedBoard and LilyPad tools. The move, according to Mouser, will enable industrial and enterprise customers to use maker technology in their advanced projects.

SparkFun’s Arduino Pro 328 and Arduino Pro Mini 328 are low-profile boards that allow engineers to prototype a design for an AVR microcontroller and the Arduino integrated development environment. Both boards are available in 5V/16MHz and 3.3V/8MHz versions. Pinout pads, rather than headers, connectors or wires to be placed in any orientation.

Meanwhile, SparkFun RedBoard products, pictured, use a standard Arduino form factor. Mouser says those using the RedBoard will find knowledge and resources online that support prototyping. Female headers are said to reduce the need for soldering.
